Wonderful house. Warm and comfortable and extremely well kitted out. Perfect position for the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Excellent pub within walking distance. Will certainly return.

Great holiday in wonderful Wales. Spacious house with lovely sunny garden in quiet village with great pub along the road but only 5 miles from Monmouth.

If you want peace, quiet and a wonderful village feel then The Old School at Penallt is perfect. The building and decor is beautiful, Ros, the owner was great and the surrounding area is stunning. To go exploring all day and then return to such a wonderful place and sit in front of the fire was so lovely. We plan to return. The Old School was a delight to stay in - we loved it.
